About Gary Foster:
Gary Foster is a Partner within IBM’s Global Business Services organization. Gary leads the Application Innovation Services IT Infrastructure Development organization serving Public Sector. In his Service Area Leader role, Gary has responsibility for providing Infrastructure solutions and services in support of our Public Sector customers. His organization consists of over four hundred and fifty technical professionals, ranging from project managers, system administrators, network specialists, infrastructure architects, data center operations, solution principal, high performance computing specialist and business operations personnel. Prior to his appointment to Service Area Leader, Gary served as Delivery Executive, responsible for the overall delivery of IBM’s 800M portfolio of Federal contracts.
Prior to his joining Public Sector team, Gary served as Senior Project Executive on several of IBM’s large commercial outsourcing contracts, including NASCO, G.E Capital, AK Steel and Freeport McMoRan. Over his 27 years of experience working at IBM, Gary has held a variety of leadership positions with a primary focus on program delivery and business growth.
Gary is a Certified Project Manager and a member of the North America Project Management and IBM Project Executive Certification boards. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
