ACM Elections

Hey everyone!

So, it's that time of year again. Unfortunately, I blew it, because I should
have gotten this out sooner, so we could have elections at the normal meeting
time. However, it's unfair to everyone involved to only give one day's notice.
As a result, I'm scheduling elections for this Thursday at 7:30PM. If that does
not work for you, just let me know, and you can still run; you won't be able to
present, but just let me know what you want me to say, and you can still be a
candidate.

If you haven't been an officer before, we ask that you please fill out the
officer application on our website (gtacm.org -> documents section).

If you're a returning officer, you don't need to do this. However, please update
me on:
-Whether you will be re applying for next year or not (please let me know either
way).
-If you're staying, which position(s) you're applying for, just for my
information.

Tentatively, we'll schedule this in the student org room. I will confirm this as
soon as I know for sure.

Thanks everyone! Let me know if you have any questions. I'm looking forward to
another great year!

-Chris Sladky
GTACM President

FYI:
I will be running for President.
Elections are determined by a majority of ACM members present.

The following is a list of our positions:
-President
-Vice-President Internal
-Vice-President External
-Treasurer
-Secretary
-Publicity Chair (filled for next year unless current officer decides to run
for a different position)
-Social Chair
-Technology Chair (website)
-SIG Chair (filled for next year unless current officer decides to run for a
different position)
-Membership Chair

We are also looking for leaders for the signews Special Interest Group (all
positions are open-President, VP, Treasurer, and Secretary) or anyone wanting to
start a new Special Interest Group.
